If we are rushing, we are not in trust...
Why do we rush?
We think we have to We feel a ton of pressure We’re getting behind – we have to much to do or can’t focus We’re overwhelmed If we do things in rush, we build our lives and what we’re doing from an energy of rush And it will take rush to sustain it And it will feel like rush to live it How do we break the rush pattern? As with everything, it takes a powerful unwavering decision… deep within us… that we don’t want to operate this way- that it’s not worth it. We also have to examine WHY we are rushing… the underlying motivation behind it. It usually is pretty compelling and convincing. Rush puts us outside of natural order, natural timing, natural organization… and nature itself. Nature never rushes. Nature has its own timing. We have free will and a wild mind… we can do whatever we want, however reckless, with our energy. Here’s the thing. There is little power in rushing- it’s scattering to ourselves, our energy and our focus. The answer, as usual, is to be here, to be present to our lives. To really work with what presents itself RIGHT NOW. My rush energy came from wanting to do so many things- but also bypassing what was right here in the moment. So my to do list would grow, my ideas would grow… and I’d feel more overwhelmed. My astrologer recently told me "work with what is here right now, with what’s presenting itself to you right now… that’s the way.” It’s true. Whatever is presenting itself to you right now is the doorway to the next thing. Everyone in your life, everything in your life right now… these are the cooperative ingredients that will lead you to the next thing, the next opportunity, the next experience. It’s not out there in some unknown future- it’s right here… And the unknown will continue to deliver it to you, but THROUGH your present moment. So, this is how I am able to break my relationship with rush: I feel pretty convinced by the better approach of presence. I also feel the ease of it, how I can breathe better, how I can relax into it… how I can trust it and me… how it clears my vision and relaxes my shoulders… how the the next thing I have to do seems more interesting because I’m right here in the present moment with it. I don’t want to rush my life. I want to thoroughly live it- so each moment is clear, so I’m in each experience with my whole self… I just want to be here, be here fully, be awake to it all- and I also know that in that, I have the most creative power I could ever wield. The power of being here.
