This month marks the anniversary of when I first opened the doors to Sun Tree Healing Arts!

It was January 2017. 
A room rented in Chandler. 
Newly relocated to Arizona. 
Knowing no one. 
Just out of medical school.

And I. Was. Thrilled.
And legitimately terrified. I actually applied to be a cashier somewhere (I didn't take it) because I was so afraid of going broke (I didn't).

My rent was $725/mo!
I had never paid that to live somewhere before, let alone for a single room for a business!
...in a city I didn't know.
...running a business, which I had never done.
...practicing on my own for the first time.

-I spent countless hours, days at a time, working on my website, playing with design.
-I scoured the internet for networking options (social media wasn't on my radar yet).
-I (kind of) agonized over my business systems, software options, how to do it all in a streamlined way. (perfectionist problems)
-I used all of my savings $ and then some to buy furniture and decor and supplies. 

…The first kind of energy that built my business was unbridled passion and conviction.

I knew nothing about running a business, but I *knew* I was meant for what I was doing.

I was ceaselessly devoted.

But, that was just the beginning. I'll share what I had to shift into in the next post.
