Start Here: Depression, Grief, Letting Go
This is the first place to start.
I'm going to lay out key useful points and information for you and THEN you should look on to the other sections.

Step 1My personal philosophy about healing at the deepest level, the soul level.

Step 2Get help.
Don't expect that you should figure all of this out on your own. |
‣‣ Find a therapist you click with and commit to sessions
‣‣ Consider herbal and pharmacological interventions as necessary. Taking medication is NOT wrong or bad. ‣‣ Seek mind-body approaches! Emotions live in your body, not just your mind. |
Step 3Validate your experience and get to know yourself.
What's really going on? |
‣‣ Validation means accepting what's happening and doing something about it. Denial or shaming yourself won't help.
‣‣ Have you experienced trauma? Loss? ‣‣ Are you empathic, intuitive and/or highly sensitive? ‣‣ Do you have a compassionate and loving relationship with yourself? |
Step 4What's your general health like?
Are you taking care of yourself? (This is a BIG one and can't be fully addressed here. Work with a healthcare provider you trust.) |
‣‣ I work with my emotional health patients around the following: hormonal balance, sleep, diet/gut health, daily routine, energy. This ALL matters!
‣‣ Caffeine, sugar and food intolerances WILL affect your mood, hormonal balance and overall health. ‣‣ My best recommendation is to work with a Chinese medicine provider or highly recommended holistic healthcare provider in your area to support your physical well-being. |
Step 5Develop legitimate self-care practices and compile useful tools to support your healing process.
|
‣‣ Meditation and mindset work is my #1 life-changing practice for emotional balance.
‣‣ Create a morning or evening ritual to help you ground and connect with yourself. ‣‣ Lean into your feelings and ask what you need- make it a habit. Don't run away from yourself. ‣‣ Inundate yourself with books, podcasts and uplifting, useful perspectives. (Deepak Chopra and Pema Chödrön helped me tremendously.) ‣‣ Move your body. Depression, anger and irritability often benefit from movement. Try this. |
