Depression plagues millions of people. Prolonged feelings of sadness, lethargy and even physical pain all come together into the picture of depression.
I may have unpopular beliefs about depression.
But I was also so deeply depressed in my past that it became debilitating and life-threatening.
It has been many years since I was in that place. I'm quite happy and content now.
So what changed?
I speak to this from my extensive intense personal experience paired with my training and medical background.
None of it is a replacement for medical care or a qualified therapist, but it IS intended to give you perspective and hope.
I believe that for so many of us depression is an appropriate response that goes unchecked and spirals.
It's really easy for that to happen.
We're going to explore some of the faces of depression, including grief, loss and the process of letting go.
