Trauma: Healing at the Soul Level
I don't believe that we "heal" our souls, but rather we can heal on a soul level.
You are already whole- healing is the work of integrating our "lost parts," as Dianne Connelly says, so you can experience that feeling of wholeness once more.
For all the healing I've explored for myself and helped others through, the number one lesson/truth remains:
You are your own healer.
You have an incredible capacity to heal.
You have all of the answers.
Yes, definitely ask for help.
Yes, definitely try everything you can.
But remember that you are really REALLY powerful- and every step you take on your healing journey is in reclaiming that power to become soul-level whole.

Soul-Level Whole‣‣ In 2010, I started reading this book. It introduced me to concepts that changed my life and aligned me with the path I'm still on (the one full of healing, awakenings and self-love).

Integration is Healing ‣‣ Trauma can leave us feeling fragmented. I've learned the answer is integration, coming back home to ourselves, finding our way back in the dark.
‣‣ Remember that integration is built on acceptance and self-compassion. ‣‣ Here is a simplified step-by-step article I wrote about the processing of healing from past trauma and integrating. |
You Rise Again‣‣ I believe we are an extremely resilient species. We are incredible overcomers.
‣‣ That doesn't mean healing is an easy, intuitive or clear path. ‣‣ In our darkest times, our hardest moments, it can feel impossible to believe that we will overcome. Seeing the greater meaning, working with the darkness as a guide, using our pain as the path to deeper compassion... these can be useful soul-level perspectives. |
