Mindset Work
Your mindset is something you can cultivate or let it run on autopilot. It's the way that you think. You have a lot more control over it than you may realize. That doesn't mean it's an easy thing to change, though.
I call it mindset "work" because it takes work- focus, practice, learning, trial and error.
The main point, though, is that YOU get to decide how you think.
Yes, you've been programmed all of your life to think a certain way.
Yes, you've been conditioned by experiences to think a certain way.
Yes, your thoughts are very convincing and compelling.
But that doesn't mean they're set in stone or that you have to keep them alive.

‣‣ Your "mindset" is built on thoughts that you're thinking. It can feel like your thoughts are thinking you, though. Where are they coming from anyway? It's up to you to drain the life out of the shitty thoughts that hurt you and hold you back. ‣‣ It is such a liberating experience to catch a disempowering thought and spin it into something more useful (aka more encouraging and helpful). It's a simple practice but if you do it on repeat, you'll reconstruct your mindset in a way that supports you vs tears you down. This will change your entire life. |

The Beliefs You Choose ‣‣ Your thoughts are constructed from your beliefs. But you've come to a believe a fuck ton of things on a DEEP level that are totally useless, disempowering, untrue, sabotaging and destructive.
‣‣ In order to get your power back and shift your mindset, you have to challenge your underlying beliefs. Chances are you believe so many things about yourself, your life and how the world works that are keeping you feeling stuck or unhappy. ‣‣ Changing a belief is a practice, but the bottom line is this: your life experiences have taught you what to believe; now it's time to teach yourself what's actually possible. |

Your Focus + Attention ‣‣ "If you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change."- Dr. Wayne Dyer
‣‣ I wrote that quote out so many years ago and hung it on my wall. I knew how true it was, how freeing it felt to practice it. What you focus on will expand. What you believe about what you focus on will change how things go. You have so much power. ‣‣ Pay attention to what you're paying attention to: the good or the bad, the choices or the limits, the potential or the failure, the love or the fear. Train yourself to look toward what helps you feel expansive, optimistic and inspired. |
How You're Feeling‣‣ Your mindset is integral to your mental and emotional well-being.
‣‣ I used to think so so so many overwhelming, defeating thoughts- it's no wonder I felt how I did. It took a lot of practice for me (especially through meditation) to see these thoughts, work with them and change them. ‣‣ To me, mindset is about self-love, self-care, self-compassion. You want to create a mental world that uplifts you, loves you, empowers you, supports you. |
