Letting Heavy Things Go... 3 Practices

I gave this prompt below to a client this week... and I *really* like it.  In fact, I practiced with it a bit yesterday and have 3 ways for you to try it yourself.

But you can't just do a quick read of it to be able to see the power in it, though.
You have to sit with it.
You have to experience it.
​You have to take some real time with it.

And it will shift you.

3 Practices for
​Letting the Heaviness Go...

1. Write it Out
​ Get out a journal (I usually type in a word doc).
Write this question at the top and then let yourself imagine.
Feel it happening. Feel the freedom. Feel your energy lift. Let it happen. And then write it out.
How do you feel, how does it feel, how it is feeling?
Write, write, write. RIFF on it.
​

2. Imagine It 
Read the question again, close your eyes and then imagine it happening.
Imagine the heaviness leaving you.
What do you see leaving you?
Where is the heaviness within you or around you and how can you allow it to shift?
Does it need to be pulled out?
Can you just open your hands and let it go?
See what happens, do what feels right.
Trust it works.

3. Walk it Out
I did this one yesterday! So good.
Go for a walk. Get present with each step.
Come into the awareness of whatever feels heavy, off, aggravating, etc.
For a while as you walk, let this energy emerge and then let it leave you (however it can).
Afterward, pause and turn around.

Look to where you once were.

Sense the old version of yourself that you literally just left behind;
see the distance between you and this old version of you.
Feel the relief. When you get a chance, turn and walk in a different direction
and know it's behind you now. Feel the freedom.
